Top Tips for a Summer Spruce from Regency Carpets

Summer is an ideal time to work on home improvements, so why not think about treating you and your family to a lovely new floor or carpet. Unsure what you’re looking for?

Here’s a handy guide from Ross and Peter from Regency to help:

Choosing a new carpet
Here are some points to consider when choosing a carpet:
1. Choose a carpet suitable for the room. For example, you may want something more hardwearing for a hallway and something softer for a bedroom
2. Busy household? Flecked carpets are ideal for hiding marks and wear
3. Choose a colour or pattern that suits your decor. Take home a selection of colour samples and lay them out in the room in which you are looking to carpet. Remember darker colours can make rooms look smaller.
4. A carpet is an investment in your home, so choose a carpet you will enjoy for years to come and always try to buy the highest quality carpet you can afford.
5. Always have your carpet professionally fitted and choose underlay if possible, as it will extend the life of your carpet.

Choosing new flooring
If you have children or pets, flooring can be an easy to clean and hygienic option. It has therefore become increasingly popular for use in kitchens, hallways, living rooms, and dining rooms.

There is a vast range of options to choose from and at Regency Carpets we can offer you a choice of vinyl or flooring from well known brands, such as, Camaro or Karndean.

Whatever your decor, or intended interior design scheme, we have an option to suit, with options including: slate, marble stone, ceramic, mosaic, terracotta, metal, glass, or a wood effect.
